Lots of these things you take for granted and don't even know are privileges that many people elsewhere don't get to enjoy. Then you start to travel the world and learn very quickly that lots of cultures unwittingly look down on Africa and are shocked when you say your well-spoken English or other Western dialect is spoken in Africa, or that there is more than one type (ethnicity) of person who is born and raised there.
